Technical references & documentation
Common references include the IEC 60947 series for switchgear and controlgear, IEC 61439 for low-voltage assemblies, IEC 60364 for installations and IEC 62305 for lightning protection. The applicable part, edition and product evidence must be checked against the project specification; these references are not a blanket certification claim.
Frequently asked questions
What information is needed for breakers or distribution boards?
Send part numbers where available, or the diagram and load schedule with voltage, current, poles and required breaking capacity. The quotation will define the reviewed supply scope.
Can a breaker be replaced with one of the same amperage?
Amperage alone is insufficient. Breaking capacity, trip characteristics, dimensions, connections, assembly compatibility and protection coordination also need review.
